Provide schools globally the opportunity to introduce environmental issues, social causes, and current events through a medium that will generate both excitement and awareness.

POSTed is a website that provides schools with forward-thinking, high-concept designs, promoting everything from recycling and exercise to voting and energy conservation. Students, teachers, and staff will be encouraged to download the artwork, free of cost to use on campus and at school events. Anyone with school-issued identification cards will be welcomed.

OBJECTIVE

  • Offer students the chance to learn about world issues through influential artists they respect
  • Generate a means for schools to brand causes through an avenue that creates buzz and doesn’t tap resources
  • Provide an entry point for youth to get into the habit of thinking about the environment, social causes, and world issues
  • Offer all POSTed signage in a number of languages allowing schools in different countries to participate in the campaign
  • Equip teachers with a launching pad to cover issues. Build aware of certain issues through POSTed before it’s even mentioned in the classroom
  • Use POSTed as an online forum for kids to suggest ideas, provide feedback and be able to get involved with various causes
  • Offer an offline component of POSTed where we target regional issues that effect a school district or city (i.e. pollution runoff, waste management)
  • Work with global media partners, schools, festivals and artists to spread the POSTed message to all corners of the world

  • Develops key awareness of world issues in the minds of youths while providing a cool element that will drive its popularity
  • Generates National/International press that will support the signage in the schools/colleges
  • Integrates art into the educational system and fuels creativity
  • Ability to share ideas on a global level, in different languages and provide a launching pad for schools to address important issues with their students.
  • Creates talking points and discussions amongst young people in a social and academic environment

October 2008

  • Break ground on POSTed website to feature 3 sections: Environment, Social Causes, and Current Events
  • Select 20 artists, designers, and celebrities who will develop the first round of POSTed posters
  • Sign up preferred media partners to assist with launching the campaign

November 2008

  • Collect final artwork from designers
  • Translate artwork copy into fourteen dominant languages
(English, Spanish, Chinese, Japanese, Dutch, French, German, Bengali, Hindi, Arabic, Portuguese, Russian, Italian and Malay)
  • Finalizing POSTed website and scaling all artwork into 3 printable sizes

December 2008

  • Launch website
  • Launch advertising campaign
  • Launch offline signage distribution program targeting key communities and events
  • Confirm 10 additional artists, designers, and celebrities for posters made available on next summer to be distributed at major summer festivals and live events.
